Meeting Called to Order at 6:10pm.

TREASURE’S REPORT: Cindy Sheff

Received $190.00 from Albertson’s Account, still awaiting funds to deposit from GypsyFest.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

Ballpark:

County Lease/Renovation

Cindy having trouble getting phone calls returned. Given other names and numbers by Mark to try to contact. Cindy will continue to follow-up on lease so we can proceed on renovation.

Scenic By-ways

Awaiting meeting and approval. (October time-frame)

Uniforms

Mark reported he’s still in process of finding new fabric.

Action Item: Mark will borrow uniform from Danny Wright for July 4^th

Historical Society

Diana reports very few returns on mailing to Old Timers for July 4^th so new data base appears very up to date.

Playground

Anna T not in attendance, no report

Canary

Anah K not in attendance, no reports

Greenbelt Fundraising

Mark reported on MLA meeting, which was attended by county official who stated they are once again opting to purchase greenbelt at terms originally approved by MLA membership.

Action item: Mark still moving forward on back-up plans (refinancing, fund raising), in case they fail to follow through again!

4^th of July

Action Item: Cindy and Anna T will participate in parade, games and raffle.

OLD BUSINESS:

Rhonda’s Gift

Will hold off to present at a future lunch date when we know the lease is moving forward and we can report more on the Scenic By-ways grant.

Action Item: Mark still working on Madrid Miners jersey and framed picture

Shelved until next meeting when we have more members to discuss

NEW BUSINESS:

Mission Statement and By-laws

Shelved until next meeting. Denise will make new flyers for next meeting to post around town to enlist new members before discussing.

Action Item: Denise will create and distribute flyers and e-mail to Cindy to hand out at July 4^th Picnic.

Radio Show Invitation

Diana, Mark and Cliff are invited to KSFR, 90.7 radio for a talk show discussing what’s new and happening in Madrid (including ballpark renovations) on Thursday July 1^st between 8 and 9 am

Next Meeting is set for 8/2/04 at 6 pm at Denise Jones’s
